A. C. Phonney Martin scrapbook
This is a scrapbook compiled by Alphonse Case (A.C.) “Phonney” Martin concerning the invention of the curve ball. This scrapbook consists of typed manuscript pages, clippings, correspondence, and handwritten notes, dated between 1845 and 1933.
Dale Shellman interview collection
The collection contains audio interviews conducted by Dale Shellman with a variety of baseball players, managers and others associated with the game. The recordings are on micro audiocassettes. The interviews were most likely conducted in the mid-1980s.
Dr. Lawrence Hogan African American Baseball Research papers
A collection of research notes, correspondence, photocopies of photographs, and newspaper clippings created and/or compiled by Dr. Lawrence Hogan. These papers were used in the writing of his book titled "The Forgotten History of African American Baseball", published in 2014.
