The mission of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum's Archives and Library is to collect, appraise, organize, preserve, and make accessible materials documenting the historical development of baseball and its impact on culture and society; to collect, appraise, organize, preserve, and make accessible materials documenting the mission, history, and programs of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum; to provide facilities for the retention and preservation of these materials in adherence with professional standards and to secure the collection’s physical safety; and to provide access to the materials in our collection through the Giamatti Research Center. Materials may be used by any researcher regardless of background, research interest, educational attainment, or research goal.
