Edward T. Murphy Scorebook collection
Scope and Contents
There are 36 scorebooks dated between 1923 and 1946. These games cover primarily the Brooklyn Dodgers. Games include spring training, regular season, All-Star games, and World Series. Murphy made some notations on attendance and home runs.

Biographical / Historical
Eddie Murphy was born and lived his whole life in Brooklyn, NY. He joined The Sun in 1911 as a copy boy and his career spanned 53 years. Murphy became the first writer to cover the Brooklyn Dodgers for a Manhattan-based paper and he traveled with the Dodgers starting in the 1920s until 1946.
