Scope and Contents

A collection of approximately 1000 autographs acquired by Leonard Schonberg. They have been signed on index cards, postcards and correspondence. These include players, Hall of Famers and executives. Autographed Bowman Gum Sets, not complete, from 1948 to 1953 are also part of this donation. Schonberg also included the signed hotel register page from those on the 1914 barnstorming trip. He acquired this from Fred Snodgrass in 1952. The correspondence dates between 1941 and 1952, with many autographs not dated. A copy of this finding aid is with the collection, envelope 1.

Abstract

Arrangement

This collection is organized into six series. Series I Index Cards and Postcards; Series II List of autographs; Series III Autographed Letters to Schonberg; Series IV Autographed Correspondence, Index Cards, Letterheads; Series V Signed Picture Pack Postcards.
