A collection of aduio cassettes created between June of 1990 and December of 1994 by the donor while conducting interviews for his book "Dugout To Foxhole: Interviews With Baseball Players Whose Careers Were Affected by World War II" published in 1994. The original audio cassettes make up this entire collection.

These oral histories were conducted by Rick Van Blair as research for his book "Dugout to Foxhole: Interviews With Baseball Players Whose Careers Were Affected by World War II" published in 1994. The original audio cassette tapes of those interviews make up this entire collection.

These audio cassettes arrived in no discernible order and were accessioned in no particular order. The materials in this finding aid are arranged in chronological order.

Processing Information

Materials were sorted and placed within the audio cassette collection in the Recorded Media Archives at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Audio cassettes are stored in their original cases, if provided, within acid-free boxes.
