Scope and Contents
A collection of audiotapes and videotapes created by the donor while collecting content in order to produce a documentary about baseball in New York City during the years between 1947 and 1957. The original video field tapes and audio cassettes from the interviews conducted for those documentaries make up this entire collection.

Biographical / Historical
Kevin Bender is an independent documentary film producer, director and writer known for "Thinking Grande: Creating California's Mexican Wonderland (2008), "The Golden Decade of Baseball" (1990) and "Ball Talk: Baseball's Voices of Summer" (1989).

Abstract
The collection documents some of the history of the game in New York City during the years between 1947 and 1957 as told in the documentary "The Golden Decade of Baseball" as well as through the eyes of Hall of Fame broadcasters. The original video field tapes and audio cassettes from the interviews conducted for those documentaries make up this entire collection.
Arrangement
The audiocassettes were kept in original order. The videotapes are arranged chronologically.

No materials were removed during accessioning or processing.
Processing Information
Materials were sorted and placed with their respective formats within the Recorded Media Archives at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Audiocassettes are stored in their original cassette cases inside acid-free boxes.
