Hank Aaron collection
Scope and Contents
A collection letters, souvenir programs, certificates, citations, books, and photographs related to Hank Aaron. Items of note include the program and cetificate for Aaron's "Presidential Medal of Freedom" award in 2002. A typed and signed letter from President Bill Clinton, on the 20th anniversary of Aaron's 715th home run, 1994. There are numerous honorary degree certificates from various universities, approximately 120 fan letters, books, and a VHS tape "World Children's Baseball Fair" and accompanying newsletter, 2004.

Biographical / Historical
Henry ‘Hank’ Aaron played the outfield in the Major Leagues from 1954 to 1976. Aaron hit his 755th and final home run on July 20, 1976, at Milwaukee County Stadium off Dick Drago of the California Angels. Aaron has received countless awards and recognitions, including his induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982.
