Biographical / Historical

The Washington Baseball Club was comprised of a group of investors that had the exclusive rights to bring a professional team to Washington D.C. They worked to attract a team to the District starting around 1999. The Montreal Expos would be leaving Canada and a few sites for its relocation were being considered. The Robert F. Kennedy stadium would serve as an interim home for the team while the new stadium was under construction.
