Bob Coyne Cartoon collection
Scope and Contents
A collection of pencil-drawn cartoons by Bob Coyne, dated between 1932 and 1964. His subjects are primarily the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankee players. These include Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, and Mickey Mantle. There is a cartoon related to Clark Griffith and Bob Quinn.

Biographical / Historical
Bob Coyne, 1898-1976, retired in 1975 after a 47-year career. Coyne drew over 15,000 sports cartoons for several Boston newspapers. Coyne began his career with the Boston Post.
