Pud Galvin was a pitcher in the Major Leagues from 1875-1892 and a manager in 1885. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1965.

Brian "Chip" Martin was a reporter and columnist at the London Free Press, in Ontario, Canada, for 41 years. He has won several journalism awards and is the author of eight books, five related to baseball.
