Biographical / Historical

Karl Orth started watching baseball in the mid to late 1950s by going to see the Hollywood Stars at Gilmore Field and the Los Angeles Angels at Wrigley Field. His first major league game was a spring training game between the New York Giants and the Cleveland Indians in 1954 at Wrigley Field. He started seeing games on a regular base in 1958 with the LA Dodgers. He has been going to baseball games for over 40 years and has purchased game programs and scorecards for all the games he has seen. Mr. Orth states that his favorite stadiums are Coors Field, Fenway Park, and Wrigley Field in Chicago. He likes all the parks; each one has its own personality and food, which has changed over the years.--as written in an e-mail by Mr. Orth, 11/05/2013
