Scope and Contents
A collection consisting primarily of newspaper clippings, correspondence, statistics, and photographs related to the Ferrell brothers and family. This material was created and/or compiled by Dick Thompson while researching for his book on the Ferrell family. The collection dates between 1911 and 2005. It includes brothers Rick, Wes, George, and Marvin. It also includes cousins Beverly "Red" Ferrell and his brother, Charlie. Thompson included early family geneology and obituaries. There is one file that covers the minor league career of George's son, George Wesley, from 1958 to 1963.
