Scope and Contents
A collection of Baseball Writers Association of America, BBWAA, Career Excellence Award certificates. These are presented yearly, starting in 1962, with the first winner being J.G. Taylor Spink. There were no awards given in 1994 and 2007. This collection does not have a certificate for Charles Dryden, 1965, and Edgar Munzel, 1977. This award honors a baseball writer for meritorious contributions to baseball writing. These winners are also recognized in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum exhibit "Scribes & Mikemen".
